Here at Vortex, we are very proud to announce we’re celebrating our fifth birthday! Five years feels like a milestone achievement in the world of business, and after a successful half a decade of website builds, integrations and support for all our wonderful clients, we couldn’t be happier with where we’ve come. We achieved some amazing things over the last five years and looking back is a reminder of how well our team has worked together, and shows what can be achieved by placing the right people in the right positions.

To name but a few of our site builds there’s the award-winning Ribble Cycles, Kiravans, Ladderstore, BradshawsCraven’s Fancy Dress (our first M2 build), and Bristol Sport. To see our full portfolio, visit our website’s new work page! To celebrate our five-year anniversary, we plan on donating to five local charities within the Yorkshire area, as chosen by the team.

One of our biggest achievements would be our recent move to Leeds and our expansion to London. Taking our Magento expertise into larger cities has allowed us to grow as a company and contribute to their expanding business sectors. With the team and client base growing, moving into these key locations has granted us easier access to clients, and allowed us to establish links with the likes of Leeds University, Kings College and Imperial College of London to further develop our team.

Our Commercial Director James Hyett comments; “It’s amazing to be sitting in our state-of-the-art 2000 sq ft office on one of Leeds’ most prestigious streets, along with our office in London Mayfair with our team around us; including frondend developers, backend developers, designers, project managers and sales support. To think five years ago that this all started in Bruce’s flat in Harrogate, and three moves later we find ourselves where we are is amazing. It’s been an incredible adventure, and Bruce and I would personally like to thank everyone involved in the company’s success.”

Technical Director, Bruce, and Commercial Director, James, have been working loyally alongside one another for the past 12 years since their sixth form days, where they initially decided to join forces and came up with the idea for their first business venture. Over the past decade they have become successful business partners and loyal friends. One of Vortex’s loyal clients for the past two and a half years, AKW, comments; “Bruce and James at Vortex complement each other very well and with the backing of their knowledgeable team they handle anything you can throw at them. Their experience of the Magento product and e-commerce market clearly shines through.”

Looking to the future is an exciting prospect after reviewing our previous five years’ successes. We plan on setting our sights firmly on our Magento 2 and pitching ourselves as leaders in the field of M2 development. We have some very exciting projects in the pipeline, and we can’t wait to see what our next challenge will be!
