Vortex is a thriving digital eCommerce agency in the heart of Leeds. Vortex is part of a group that encompasses three separate entities (all operating in the eCommerce sector) which the successful candidate will assist.
We are based on the Headrow Leeds in an open place office and also have another floor for recreational space. We are looking for a part time accounts assistant/ bookkeeper that could develop into a permanent role as the company grows.
We believe the role would be ideal for an ambitious newly qualified professional that is driven and wants to grow with the group and the position available.
The role will consist of;
Reconciling the bank accounts in Xero on a daily basis
Processing Purchase ledger invoices and liaising with Director to make supplier payments
Billing clients using our online payment systems (XERO/ GoCardless).
Credit control – Chasing/reconciling payment from clients and resolution of client queries
Processing and posting company expense receipts into Xero
Processing of Employee Expenses
Communicating with clients and internal team members.
Production of the Management Accounts
Posting of Accruals and prepayments, and Salary journals
Recharging of shared intercompany costs
Basic Balance Sheet reconciliations
Assisting the Directors to produce an annual Budget
Assisting the Directors with Cash flow forecasting
Liaising with our external Accountants and assisting them with the collation of information for VAT Returns/Year end.
Other Ad-hoc project work to improvement financial processes within the company
Experience of Xero (preferable)
Experience of Excel (preferable)
2 years industry experience minimum
Can communicate effectively both verbally and written
Punctual, courteous and affable
About the opportunity;
Working from the Leeds office on the Headrow LS1 5JW
Flexible start and finish, it is an 8 hour day with one hour lunch. You may start anytime from 7:30 am – 9:30 am and finish from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
